Mataka Arts is an independent performing arts school and production company that uses theatre and digital storytelling as a tool for empowerment.
Led by Emele Ugavule, at the core of our work is a commitment to producing excellent stories, transformative innovation in contemporary storytelling, and advancing creative research. Grounded in principles of inclusion and equity, we create space for diverse voices to explore performance, challenge artistic boundaries, and contribute to a vibrant, forward-looking arts ecosystem in Fiji and across the Pacific.

Youth Drama Classes
Grades 1–12 - build confidence, creative storytelling, and stagecraft in a fun, supportive space where young performers can find their voice and shine.
Adult Drama Classes
Ages 18+ offer a dynamic, supportive space to master core acting techniques, sharpen your voice and movement, and collaborate with a community of values-led theatremakers.
